Since opening in 1967, Suntrap has welcomed primary schools, secondary schools, sixth form colleges, nurseries, children centres and family groups to explore our natural environment within Epping Forest.
Students are given the opportunity to learn in and about a natural environment close to where they live, bringing nature nearer.
All activities are tailored to the National Curriculum and Exam Board Specifications. Opportunities are available to study the following curriculum areas: Science, Geography, Maths, Art, Literacy, History, PSHE and P.E. Much of the learning in the primary sector is cross-curricular.
In addition we offer a range of activities and learning opportunities for students post 16 who are studying A level Geography and Biology.
From July 2019 – April 2020, during our major refurbishment the Suntrap team will be on tour.
Special offer: book a Suntrap on tour outreach session and get £50 off your first booking when we reopen our site in 2020. Cost: £150 per two-hour session (maximum 30 pupils).
Excellent personal service and children well looked after. Very knowledgeable. Will book for other year groups.
You do everything so well; engaging the children and giving them the courage to have a go and just enjoy - worth every penny!
