Climate Leadership programme

The Waltham Forest Climate Leadership Programme is an exciting, future- thinking opportunity for KS4 students to learn about the causes and impacts of climate change and how they can step up and get involved.

The programme sessions will include climate literacy, creative workshops and communications training.

Students can chose to focus on group research or communications project through which they put the learning into practice.

Students will develop the confidence to act on the issues they care most about and learn leadership skills to inspire others and enact real change.

Monday 25 - Thursday 28 July 2022.

This free four-day course is for young people aged 16-21 in Waltham Forest who want to learn more about the climate and ecological emergency and become leaders for change.

You'll get to meet like-minded climate activists and build plans for the future in a glorious green space!

The summit was a very enjoyable experience and one I found really worthwhile. I and my fellow attendees will now be working hard to raise awareness amongst other students about climate change and how young people can do their bit.
