  • Treemendous Trees & Climate Change

    Suntrap comes to you

    In glorious autumnal Epping Forest, Suntrap Forest Centre is offering a limited number of FREE 90 - minute cross-curricular workshops at a choice of three locations.

    Up to 60 students (in two groups) for upper KS2 or KS3. Monday 8, Tuesday 9 or Wednesday 10 November 2021.

    Students will investigate local trees and the role they play in mitigating climate change.

  • Chingford Plaster Works - transforming local waste to make beautiful bowls

    Bought to you by Blackhorse Workshop x Good Waste

    Plaster Works is an innovative project focused on the hidden potential of local building waste. They are running free hands-on workshops for KS-3 students from 1 - 14 November 2021.

    Participants will learn about the circular economy, gain an insight into the potential value of waste materials and discover the power of community projects to inspire change.

  • Waltham Forest Climate Action through the Eco-Schools programme

    Find out how the council is supporting to schools to achieve an Eco-Schools Green Flag

    Waltham Forest Council (LBWF) has pledged to support every school in the borough to take part in the national Eco-Schools programme and will pay for schools to complete the Green Flag accreditation in the next two years.

    In this twilight session Poppy, the Waltham Forest Climate Action Outreach Coordinator, will explain how schools take part and what support is being offered by LBWF with plenty of time for teachers and school staff to ask questions.
