Climate Learning for Waltham Forest Schools

Eco education is critical in helping young people understand the impacts of climate change, encourage a change in attitudes and behaviour needed to address the causes of climate change, and develop competencies and leadership skills that are vital for a sustainable future.

In November 2021 Suntrap ran the first on-line Waltham Forest Climate Summit for schools and colleges. The whole programme of keynote videos, lesson ideas and recommended resources is available here.  Why not use these resources to run your own Climate Summit week at a time that suits you? 

  

If you're a Waltham Forest school or college and need inspiration our Climate Action Outreach Coordinator Poppy Flint is available to guest speak at an assembly, inset training or run a climate focused lesson.

I think the opportunity for children to come up to Suntrap and actually learn about sustainability and take it home to their parents is amazing.
